APPROVAL OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN CONNECTIONS LEARNING D/B/A PEARSON ONLINE & BLENDED LEARNING K-12 USA (POBL) AND THE SCHOOL BOARD OF SARASOTA COUNTY, FL
Description
In accordance with Florida Statute, the district operates a full-time virtual educational option for eligible students in grades K-12. The district contracts with state approved virtual education providers to deliver the direct instruction. Connections Learning d/b/a Pearson Online & Blended Learning K-12 USA (POBL) offers online instruction for students in grades K-8 and for selected students in grades 9-12.
Recommendation
That the contract between Connections Learning d/b/a Pearson Online & Blended Learning K-12 USA (POBL) and the School Board of Sarasota County, FL be approved as presented.

Financial Impact
Varies based upon success in program and entry point in the academic year. Allocation for successfully completing students in grades K-12 is $3,750.00 per student.
